In the framework of a river regulation design of the Po River Delta (Northern Italy), a study on a large physical model of the bifurcation Po di Goro-Po di Venezia was conducted with the main objective of determining the discharge subdivision rate at the river node, in order to assess the inflow conditions in the Po di Goro River for flood risk analysis. In this context, a two-dimensional depth averaged numerical model was tested against measured values, with reference to the prototype. In this paper a comprehensive analysis and discussion of the results is reported in order to highlight the applicability of numerical models in comparison with physical ones in river engineering applications. 相似文献

Two-Dimensional Physical and Numerical Modeling of a Pile-Supported Earth Platform over Soft Soil 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
This paper focuses on the mechanisms occurring in a granular earth platform over soft ground improved by rigid piles. Two-dimensional physical model experiments were performed using the Schneebeli’s analogical soil to investigate the load transfer mechanisms by arching and the settlement reduction and homogenization. Experimental outputs are compared to results obtained on a numerical model using a plane strain continuum approach. The impact of the constitutive model complexity to simulate the platform material behavior was first assessed, but no large difference was recorded. As far as the proposed model, which takes the main features of the observed behavior satisfactorily into account, the numerical procedure could be validated and the parametric studies extended numerically. Both approaches of this study underlined the main geometrical and geotechnical parameters which should inevitably be taken into account in a simplified design method, namely the capping ratio, the platform height, and the platform material shear strength. 相似文献

本文对正则化长波方程(RLW方程)的时间、空间项分别采用三次样条公式进行离散,所得到的差分方程为三点、三层隐格式,对时间的精度为四阶,对空间的精度为二阶,每个时间步只需求解一个三对角方程组,而三次样条配置法在每个时间步中需要求解三个三对角方程组。本文对单个孤立波的演化进行了计算,参数与文[8]相同,其结果与解析解的最大绝对误差均保持在10~(-3)的量级以内,与文[8]给出的数值方法精度相当。对两、三个孤立波的相互碰撞,本文结果显示出在忽略10~(-3)量级的误差后,碰撞前后的孤立波形状保持不变,无论是一个孤立波的演化,还是两、三个孤立波相互碰撞,当将波形放大100倍后均可以发现有振荡的尾波,这说明这类振荡尾波的产生并非真实的物理现象,而是由数值误差产生的。本文认为仅从工程应用的意义上说,RLW方程具有孤立子性质的结论是可以接受的。 相似文献

The crystallization behavior of well-defined star-shaped cubic silsesquioxane-poly(ethylene oxide) (CSSQ-PEO) and linear PEO were studied in terms of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS). It was found in DSC analysis that the glass transition temperature (Tg) and the crystallization temperature (Tc) of CSSQ-PEO are different from those of linear PEO. The presence of CSSQ in PEO reduced the overall crystallization growth rate. This effect can be ascribed to the reduction of the mobility of the PEO crystallites in the presence of CSSQ and the star structure of the polymer. The Ozawa method is qualitatively satisfactory for describing the nonisothermal crystallizations of linear PEO and CSSQ-PEO. The presence of CSSQ leads to the diffusion- and nucleation-controlled mechanisms in the crystallization process of CSSQ-PEO whilst only the nucleation-controlled mechanism was observed in the case of linear PEO. The apparent activation energy required for crystallization was calculated using the Kissinger method. The isothermal crystallization morphology of PEO and CSSQ-PEO were also examined by cross-polarizing optical microscopy (CPOM). The CPOM images indicated the spherulite growth is slower in CSSQ-PEO as compared to linear PEO. It was also investigated that more number of PEO spherulites in CSSQ-PEO were observed, which sizes are markedly smaller than the spherulites developed in linear PEO. Wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) studies showed that the crystallization peaks for linear PEO and CSSQ-PEO appeared at different temperature revealing the crystallization process and crystal growth rate are different from each other. A two-dimensional (2D) model of unsteady shallow-water flow in surface irrigation was developed to evaluate the influence of field-grading precision on surface irrigation performance. This paper presents field data for verification of this 2D model. No attempt was made here to evaluate irrigation performance. Verification of such models relies on independent estimates of parameters for infiltration and roughness. To accomplish this, water surface elevations were measured at 26 points within a 3 ha level basin. A double-bubbler system was used to obtain relative water depths. Field surveys were used to convert these to water surface elevations and field water depths, from which surface water volumes over time were computed. The infiltration function was determined by matching inflow minus surface volume over time with computed subsurface volume. A value of Manning n (0.05) was found for which advance and water depth hydrographs were both well predicted with the 2D model. Differences in advance for a plane versus undulating field surface were minor, except near the end of advance. 相似文献

This paper derives the exact integrations for the integrals in the boundary element analysis of two-dimensional elastostatics. For facilitation, the derivation is based on the simple forms of the fundamental functions by taking constant, discontinuous linear and discontinuous quadratic elements as examples. The efficiency and accuracy of the derived exact integrations are verified against five benchmark problems; the results indicate that the derived exact integrations significantly reduces the CPU time for forming the matrices of the boundary element analysis and solving the internal displacements. 相似文献
